Outreach Program Manager in Madison, WI

Waisman Bio-manufacturing, which is part of the Waisman Center at the Graduate School, UW-Madison, has an excellent opportunity available to join our team as an Outreach Program Manager III (Manager of Business Development and Program Administration). The primary mission of Waisman Bio-manufacturing is to provide cGMP manufacturing services to serve researchers, clinicians and business ventures in the development of novel biological therapies for clinical trials.
We are seeking a highly-motivated, team-oriented individual to manage outreach, development, liaison, program management, fiscal, education and other administrative operations of a research program which assists investigators, both on campus and at other organizations, transition basic research projects into clinical applications. A successful candidate will have high-level administration and time-management experience, attention to detail, and the ability to problem-solve. The individual also must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain positive professional relationships, and work both as a team member and independently.
A Masters degree in Business Administration, Communications, Bio-technology, Public Administration, Health Management or a related field is required. A minimum of four years experience demonstrating progressive levels of responsibility in research, business, business development, outreach, grants management, biotechnology, health care administration, or other related field required. Significant involvement with pre-and post- award research administrative responsibilities including familiarity with regulatory and other agency requirements at the federal, state, and institutional level preferred. Demonstrated business development/outreach, fiscal and programmatic management for research programs experience is preferred.
